Chubarov: Poroshenko wants to close free economic zone in Crimea
MP from Petro Poroshenko Bloc, Chairman of the Crimean Tatars' Mejlis Refat Chubarov says Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has instructed to table a draft law in parliament on repealing the Law of Ukraine "On the Free Economic Zone of Crimea," according to the Petro Poroshenko Bloc's press service.
"The president has instructed to submit a draft law on the abolition of the Law of Ukraine "On the Free Economic Zone in Crimea" in the near future, I think [this will happen] in the coming week of sessions. Thus, everything will be done within the legal framework," Chubarov said on Ukrainian TV Channel 2+2.
He also said that the parliament should also pass laws concerning the energy blockade of Crimea.
"Then we will get up to the adoption of laws or regulations for the supply of electricity to Crimea. We have to do everything no later than October," Chubarov said.
