“There are a few dozen of MPs from Poroshenko's fraction who signed act for Shokin's resignation," said Leshchenko in a telephone interview with Ukraine Today.

Leshchenko confirms that over 90% of the signatures needed from MPs to get rid of Shokin have been collected.

An online petition posted on the presidential website calling for Shokin's resignation has collected over 25,000 signatures.

Civil society organizations and MPs aim to clean up the judiciary before November 9th, the deadline set by the EU for Ukraine to complete reforms on its way toward visa-free regime.
