Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko has intent to hold telephone conversations with the governors of Sumy, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhya Oblasts, and the Kyiv Oblast leadership, where the worst inflation showings were recorded in May.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, she claimed this to a session of the Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday.
The Prime Minister stressed that showings in these regions are much worse compared to other regions, in which the inflation is close to zero level. Besides, a deflation was recorded in the Ternopil and Chernivtsi Oblasts.
In the opinion of Yulia Tymoshenko, the high inflation “is not based upon any macroeconomic showings”.
“Today we will have a separate telephone conversation with them [the Oblast leaders]. I would like to hear to their explanations, why half of the Oblasts could work professionally and flawlessly. And why leaders of these Oblasts could find means to overcome inflation processes, and to take correct anti-inflation measures, while the five Oblasts did not have any possibility and any desire, and, as a result, they push the whole Ukraine to low levels of inflation showings”, Yulia Tymoshenko stressed.
