Kyiv passes Brussels 'Savchenko' sanctions list with 46 names
Ukraine is pressing the EU to impose sanctions on people involved in the abduction of pilot Nadiya Savchenko, as Kyiv has passed to Brussels on Thursday a list of 46 names, among them Russian prosecutors and investigators, according to Ukraine Today.
Savchenko is on trial in Russia for alleged involvement in the murder of two Russian journalists. Ukraine calls the proceedings a ‘brutal violation of human rights.' The topic was at the top of the agenda for Ukrainian President Poroshenko as he met EU leaders in Brussels, Ukraine Today reported on Thursday.
