Status of language is not issue of government

The language status is not the issue of the program of government’s activities, President’s Press secretary Iryna Herashchenko claimed to journalists.

      According to an UNIAN correspondent, she said to a news conference today that the Cabinet of Ministers should respect and fulfill the Constitution of Ukraine.

      I.Herashchenko stressed there is no need to comment on the press-release of the government’s press-service, as all the issues, concerning language, are clearly set out in the Ukrainian Constitution. She stressed that the pre-election discussions around the language should be stopped.
