The decision of President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko to dissolve the Verkhovna Rada of the sixth convocation “stroke the bell ringing for current authorities”.
Party of Regions leader Victor Yanukovych claimed this in his televised address commenting on the statement of Victor Yushchenko.
“The power put the country on the verge of fear, bankruptcy”, Victor Yanukovych claimed.
According to him, the Party of Regions will unite the society after the election not around party lists, but around programs to improve the life. As early as today, “the party is thinking how to unite people around the idea of improving economics, achieving stability and peace in Ukraine, and carrying out an efficient foreign policy”.
However, he stressed, the Party of Regions, as well as in 2007, was opposed to the idea of the snap poll. “Having ruined the country, the current authorities pushed the society to a regular snap parliamentary poll. We do not agree with this policy and do not share such approaches”.
