Speaking to journalists in Rome President Victor Yushchenko stressed that for Ukraine to develop effectively working parliament was needed. However the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of sixths convocation never managed to reach agreement and organize constructive work, according to the President`s press-office.

Making comments on the events in the Parliament since September 2, President Yushchenko said that “the whole country has been witness to irresponsible attitude towards the obligations”.

He also reminded that he had not received any suggestions from the deputies on formation of a new coalition in any format and even after he announced at yesterday’s consultations that he was ready to support such suggestions in advance, they still were not sounded.

“If there are no such suggestions and there is no will to make them, lets put it honestly: within this parliament we are unable to form a coalition. I don’t want to get into analyzing whether this option is better or worse. I just want to say that the Constitution does not provide other options”, - he said.
