BYT front-runner Yulia Tymoshenko may bid for the post of the Kyiv Mayor should repeat elections take place. BYT faction member Andriy Shevchenko disclosed this in an interview to “Izvestiya” daily, commenting on the information about eventual participation of Yulia Tymoshenko in a repeat election, should incumbent Kyiv Mayor Leonid Chernovetskiy decide to remain a lawmaker.
“This variant is discussed and considered”, he said.
Andriy Shevchenko explained that, despite all the recent turmoil, Yulia Tymoshenko’s team has been discussing various strategies, including long-term ones.
At the same time, A.Shevchenko noted that he does not see any cogent arguments to follow this way, because Yulia Tymoshenko is a politician of a European level.
