BYT front-runner Yulia Tymoshenko was elected the chairman of the inter-faction deputies opposition union, and Mykola Tomenko (BYT), Iosif Vinskiy (non-faction), and Oleksander Turchynov (BYT) were elected her deputies.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, Yu.Tymoshenko claimed this at a press conference in Kyiv today.

She noted that, as of today, speaking with the majority of Our Ukraine faction lawmakers, it becomes clear that they are ready to transfer to the opposition.

Yu.Tymoshenko added that, as of today, all lawmakers of the BYT faction, two SPU faction members entered the parliamentary opposition union.

She disclosed that the creation of the parliamentary opposition was accorded at a session at 9.00 a.m. today.

At the press conference, Yu.Tymoshenko and I.Vinskiy signed the agreement on creating the opposition union. Yu.Tymoshenko stressed that today may become a ”day of opposition in Ukraine”.
