Half of MPs of Our Ukraine – People’s Self-Defense left for a meeting with President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko, while another half has approved the coalition agreement text at a session of the faction.

According to OU-PSD faction member Victor Shemchuk, the faction’s session was scheduled for 10.00 a.m., and the meeting with the President – for 11.00 a.m.

“I would not like to consider it a planned action”, V.Shemchuk said.

According to him, it’s quite unclear why only a half of lawmakers knew in advance that the meeting with Victor Yushchenko was appointed for that time.

V.Shemchuk informed that lawmakers, who failed to come to the meeting with the President, decided to carry out a meeting and discuss the text of the coalition agreement.

“We made decision to support the Coalition of National Development, Stability, and Order (including the factions of OU-PSD, BYuT, and the Lytvyn’s Bloc), and commissioned Borys Tarasyuk to sign the coalition agreement on behalf of the faction”, V.Shemchuk said.

At the same time, he failed to specify the exact number of lawmakers who attended the session of the faction. “I don’t know exactly, probably, a half”, V.Shemchuk said.
