Opposition bids for post of deputy speaker

Yulia Tymoshenko, as chief of the BYT faction and leader of the parliamentary opposition, sent an address to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine leadership and a draft decree for electing Mykola Tomenko as the deputy speaker of the parliament.

According to the BYT press-office, M.Tomenko’s candidacy received an absolute majority of votes at the block’s session.

BYT believes that M.Tomenko will be successfully elected on the post of the deputy VR speaker, and his activities on this post will contribute to increasing the effectiveness of the legislative work.
