Ukraine has managed to fulfill 144 requirements, he said.

According to Mingarelli, the EU is a bureaucracy, and the processes are delayed sometimes. And it's necessary to hope that everything will go according to plan, and by late June, Ukrainians will be able to travel to the EU with no visas.

"We expect that in early April the European Parliament will put the final point with regard to the issue of visa liberalization and take an appropriate decision. Following that, 'the ball will move to the field' of the member states of the European Union, that is, the Council of the EU, which is to make a decision within a fairly short period of time. I expect that by mid-June Ukraine will get a legal decision on a visa-free regime," he said.
