The United Center party accuses the government of attempts to deviate from paying grants-in-aid to unemployed population.

According to Vassyl Petyovka, United Center party member and MP, “the Cabinet of Ministers and the Verkhovna Rada created another legal gap to avoid paying grants-in-aid to unemployed. Now people, who were sacked on their own will or basing on a contract, will receive grants not from the first day they registered at the labor exchange, but only from the 91st day of their registration”, the lawmaker emphasized, commenting on the situation with unemployment in Ukraine.

According to him, in fact, the Cabinet of Ministers provokes employers to violate rights of their employees. “[It provokes them] not to sack their employees, but to press them for they resign on their own will. In such a way, Yulia Tymoshenko turned us into Africa. A country is considered civilized if it pays grants to those who lost their jobs”, he said.
