Ukraine may take part in solving conflicts at Georgian territory
Only under aegis of UN – Georgian Minister
Ukraine may take part in solving conflicts at the Georgian territory only if a decision about a peacemaking mission is made under the aegis of UN, and if the sides of the conflict agree.
Georgian Minister for Solving Conflicts Merab Antadze disclosed this in an exclusive interview with an UNIAN correspondent.
“”If this decision, about the peacemaking mission under the aegis of UN, is made, and if the conflict parties agree, Ukraine may take part in solving the conflict”, he added.
M.Antadze stressed that Georgian diplomats have intent to raise this question through UN.
“Not only Ukraine, but also other countries are ready to help us in case is the peacemaking mission’s format is changed, that is, if this mission becomes international”, the Minister said.
