The decision of Inna Bohoslovska to quit the Party of Regions and propose her candidacy for the post of the Ukrainian President was not any surprise for the party.

According to the statement of Party of Regions leader Victor Yanukovych, posted at the official web site of the party, “recently Inna Hemanivna [Bohoslovska] has many times voiced such opinions. It is her right, which she used, being a member of a party with a real and not artificial democracy”, Victor Yanukovych noted.

At the same time, he expressed a surprise that Inna Bohoslovska issued her statement in the situation when “the Party of Regions faces the task to maximally join its forces to fight against the crisis. The aims, which were announced by I.Bohoslovska in her statement, absolutely coincide with the program of the Party of Regions”, Victor Yanukovych noted.
