Yuliya Tymoshenko Bloc (BYuT) leader declares she is going to run for president in 2009, according to Ukrayinska Pravda.
“I have never stuck to high posts if they prevent me to follow my principles,” she said in her Monday interview with Ekonomicheskiye Izvestiya periodical.
“But I will fight for power at each elections to depend less on the political dignitaries and more on the nation’s choice,” urged Tymoshenko.
BYuT leader is sure she may “change the country’s life for better” in spite of “private interests of the politicians.” She wants to rely entirely on people to rule out interference of the business mafia.
Tymoshenko assumes the early parliamentary elections may become a reality and this time the nation will elect power not by the politicians’ pledges but by their real deeds.
“I want people to grow politically wiser,” she resumed.
