Tymoshenko: Unemployment rate reduces in Ukraine

From beginning of June the amount of unemployed citizens staying on register in the employment centres has decreased by 8.2%. Yulia Tymoshenko, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, announced on opening of the session of Government, according to Office of mass media relations of Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. According to her, as of June 23, 2009 the employment centres enumerate 690.4 thousand of unemployed citizens.

Yulia Tymoshenko also noted for now in Ukraine there exist 78 thousand of vacancies: “There are 78 thousand vacancies in Ukraine, which means there exists a potential to employ”.

As the Premier put it, despite the positive showings which demonstrate reducing of unemployment rate the situation still remains complicated.
