Victor Yushchenko is now meeting with Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych and Verkhovna Rada Speaker Oleksandr Moroz, according to the President`s press-office.
They are speaking about when the Constitutional Commission will start its work and how to preserve the balance of powers. To achieve the latter goal, the President suggests that they jointly prepare a cabinet law to make it consistent with the National Unity Pact, compromise on who appoints deputies to the Interior Minister and complete all the WTO procedures.
Mr. Yushchenko also insists that they settle the land issue and prepare bills to gradually raise the minimum wage and pension in Ukraine in accordance with the December 22 resolution.
He is also worried about last year’s inflation, which was 4% higher than expected.
