Secretariat Chief of Staff Viktor Baloha believes Transport Minister Mykola Rudkovsky’s recent statement regarding the President of Ukraine is unacceptable, according to the President`s press-office.

“Mr. Rudkovsky`s verbal escapades resemble a market vendor’s vocabulary rather than that of a top official. The minister whose behavior is being investigated should think about how to explain his actions to society. Mykola Rudkovsky resorted to lies and irrelevant analogies, instead. He should be more careful when choosing words to speak of any person, particularly the head of state,” he said.

Mr. Baloha also refuted the minister’s allegations that he had sent a letter to the Security Service of Ukraine with a request to initiate a criminal case against Rudkovsky.

“There was no such order. The Security Service is independent in its decisions to initiate cases against lawbreakers and so needs no special directives.”
