The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine introduced amendments into a range of legislative acts concerning restrictions of consumption and selling of beer and low-alcohol beverages.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, 359 out of 437 lawmakers registered in the session hall voted for adoption of a Law “On Amendments into Law of Ukraine ‘On State Regulation of Production and Circulation of Ethyl Alcohol, Cognac and Fruit Alcohol, Alcohol Beverages as well as Tobacco Production” in whole.

According to the law, selling of beer (except non-alcoholic beer), alcohol and low-alcohol beverages, and tobacco production to people under 18 is banned.
