The faction of the Our Ukraine – People’s Self Defense bloc gave instructions to its chairman Mykola Martynenko to carry out negotiations with the factions of the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc and the Lytvyn’s Bloc concerning possibility of preserving the current parliamentary coalition.

The press service of the OU-PSD parliamentary faction disclosed to UNIAN that this decision was made at the session of the Our Ukraine – People’s Self Defense parliamentary faction in the Verkhovna Rada.

At the same time it is noted that the OU-PSD will propose to the BYUT and the Lytvyn’s Bloc its own candidacy for the post of the Prime Minister of Ukraine.

“If results of these negotiations are negative the faction gives instruction to Mykola Martynenko to carry out preliminary consultations with Party of Regions and the Lytvyn’s Bloc factions concerning possibility of a new coalition in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine under condition of support of candidacy of the OU-PSD faction for the post of Prime Minister and taking into consideration an ideological base of activity of the OU-PSD bloc”, the press service reports.
