“I feel that sometimes the government produces rather an incomprehensible response to the criticism by the President and by the opposition as well”, he noted.

At the same time, Victor Yanukovych stressed the government must draw conclusions and realize that the President “has a right to criticize, has a right to ask, and we have to answer”.

If the government commits a mistake, it must admit this fact, he emphasized.

According to Victor Yanukovych, the government will always be at the point of attack by political forces and citizens. “It has always been better to criticize than to work, and we will never follow a populist way, however hard it would be to look into people’s eyes. When we do not solve problems in time, we must say the truth and admit mistakes”, he said.
