8 years was a period long enough for V. Chernomyrdin to see the difference between Ukraine and Russia as well as their people. He said this in an interview to “Izvestiya v Ukraine”.
“The time which I spent here, as many as 8 years was the period long enough for me to study this country. When Leonid Kuchma wrote the book “Ukraine is not Russia”, I was indignant terribly over this title. Then I saw that Ukraine is really not Russia and there is nothing bad about this…”
