Socialist Party of Ukraine leader Oleksander Moroz and BYT front-runner Yulia Tymoshenko propose President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko to meet no later than 5 May to discuss the issue of creating the Coalition of Democratic Forces.

Socialist Party of Ukraine leader Oleksander Moroz and BYT front-runner Yulia Tymoshenko propose President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko to meet no later than 5 May to discuss the issue of creating the Coalition of Democratic Forces.

This is said in the open letter of O.Moroz and Yu.Tymoshenko to the President of Ukraine, forwarded to UNIAN by the SPU press-service.

They state that at the election on 26 March, “the majority of electors supported parties (blocks) of the democratic direction (BYT, Our Ukraine, SPU)”, and the politicians are convinced that this allows them, together with the President, to provide a democratic development of the state, to continue the implementation of the Ukrainian President’s Program “Ten Steps Towards People”.

The politicians stress that a “tense collaboration must be established between the Coalition of Democratic Forces, the government, appointed by it, and the President of Ukraine”.
