“The method to resolve this situation can only be democratic,” he said.

Yushchenko is convinced it is necessary to stop the “unconstitutional process” of the illegitimate formation of the coalition of deputy factions. He said it was vital not to let anyone “revise the vote of the people.”

“So we will now be working to protect the will of the people and laws, and to hold democratic elections quietly and without disturbances,” he said.

“There is a political conflict between position and opposition which should be settled in an honest and democratic way. I would like to ask you to adhere to the country’s laws,” he said, adding that he was ready to sign a decree to ensure that the early election is held without problems on May 27.

Davydovych said he and his colleagues were ready to hold it.
