Five judges of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, which is now checking the constitutionality of Victor Yushchenko’s decree disbanding parliament, told a press conference on Tuesday they were coming under enormous political pressure and asked for police protection, according to the President`s press-office.
Deputy Secretariat Chief of Staff Ihor Pukshyn said at a media briefing on Wednesday President Yushchenko had signed an order to protect the justices.
