Yushchenko to carry out nationwide referendum on new edition of Constitution

President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko claims about the necessity to carry out an All-Ukrainian referendum on a new edition of the Constitution of Ukraine.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, he claimed this to a press conference after a meeting with Prime Minister of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych.

At the same time, the President noted that the society must take part in settling the current crisis and to learn lessons from the mistakes, which were committed by the authorities. “The society must participate in settling this crisis, and learn a lesson from the behavior of the authorities, which committed the steps that we have been observing for several weeks already, everybody should learn lessons”, Victor Yushchenko said.
