The majority of Ukrainians support candidacies of Victor Yanukovych and Yulia Tymoshenko for the post of the Prime Minister.
These are the results of a poll, carried out by “Democratic Initiatives” fund and the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, publicized at a press conference in UNIAN today.
In particular, some 35.2% of those polled would like to see V.Yanukovych on the post of the Prime Minister, while some 31.6% - Yulia Tymoshenko.
At the same time, the candidacy of V.Yanukovych is supported by some 88.4% of those who voted for his party at the parliamentary election.
Yulia Tymoshenko is supported by some 91.6% of BYT adherents, some 36% of Our Ukraine adherents, and some 15.4% - of SPU adherents.
Incumbent Prime Minister Yuri Yekhanurov is supported by some 7.3% of the Ukrainian population, in particular, some 32.8% of Our Ukraine adherents and some 7,7% of SPU adherents.
The poll was conducted during April 27 – May 4. On the whole, 2030 respondents aged over 18 years old were polled. The error margin does not exceed 2.2%.
