President appointed Vassyl Kostytskiy as CC judge

President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko, with his Decree, has appointed Vassyl Kostytskiy as a Constitutional Court judge.

The respective decree of 4 May is posted at the official web site of the President.

Vassyl Kostytskiy was born on 20 June, 1956, in the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. In 1978 he graduated from the Lviv State University named after Ivan Franko (lawyer); in 1991 – from the Lviv Forestry Engineering Institute (engineer-economist).

He is a candidate of legal sciences, a professor, member-correspondent of the Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine. During February 2004 – January 2005 he occupied the post of the Deputy Finance Minister of Ukraine.
