Pukshyn calls Piskun ruling `fake`

[Fired prosecutor general] Svyatoslav Piskun’s appeal to Kyiv’s Shevchenkivsky District Court to rescind President Victor Yushchenko’s decree no. 469/2007 to dismiss him shows that last week’s ruling by the Solomensky District Court to reinstate Piskun is “fake,” Deputy Secretariat Chief of Staff Ihor Pukshyn said on Tuesday, according to the President`s press-office.

Pukshyn said judge Volodymyr Skoryk of the Solomensky District Court had no right to pass such rulings individually but only together with two judges. “But he did it individually. This ruling is definitely illegal,” he said, adding that the Supreme Council of Justice might dismiss Skoryk for this violation.
