President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych believes the court should not have prohibited a journalists` gathering near his house in the village of Novi Petrivtsi, he said at a meeting with top managers of major Ukrainian media and well-known journalists on the occasion of the Journalist’s Day, according to the Press office of President Viktor Yanukovych.

"Unfortunately, I have heard about the court decision only today. It was not a right thing to do. I am a simple person just like everybody else. It is just my time is very limited as always. When I have time, I will invite you for tea, we will talk," Viktor Yanukovych said.

He also urged the media to cooperate in building the future of Ukraine and developing civil society. The President expressed hope that the interests of the state and the media would coincide more often in favor of a common cause, which is developing the Ukrainian state. "I would like us to find a common language, build the future of our country, that civil society we are talking much about... We are walking this path together," Viktor Yanukovych said.
