Trial of Tymoshenko adjourned until July 15

Batkivshchyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko has been granted her request for a break in the court proceedings until July 15, 2011 in order to find a new defense lawyer, according to the Official website of Yulia Tymoshenko.

"I don’t plan to defend myself. According to article 46 of the Criminal Procedure Code, you are required to give me three days to find a new defender. Grant me my right," Yulia Tymoshenko told Judge Rodion Kireyev.

"The court requires that the defendant inform lawyer Vlasenko of the time and place of the hearing and select her defenders. I am granting your motion and announcing a break in the trial until 9 am on July 15," the judge said.
