Prosecutor asks to arrest Tymoshenko

The state prosecution asks the court to change the preventive punishment for Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, prosecutor Oleksandr Mykytenko said this during the court hearing today.

In particular, the court had to start interrogation of witnesses and former Fuel and Energy Minister of Ukraine Yuriy Prodan entered the courtroom. However, prosecutor O. Mykytenko took the floor. In particular, he asked the court “to change a preventive punishment from written undertaking not to leave the place into taking into custody”.

Yu. Tymoshenko said: “It is the final step to eliminate opposition. If the judge does so, it will be interesting”.
