Court rejects motion of PGO to take Tymoshenko into custody

Pechersk District Court of Kyiv rejected the motion of the PGO to take former Prime Minister into custody.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, chair Judge Rodion Kireyev announced the corresponding decision after the break in the court hearing.

In particular, R. Kireyev noted that the defendant takes actions that impede and delay a trial, systematically violates the order of the court session and constantly expresses a disdain to the court.

At the same time the judge believes that taking into custody is a strong measure that is applied only as a last resort.
