Batkivshchyna Party leader and former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko believes today’s attempt by the prosecution to change the restrictive measure against her from a travel ban to arrest was a test of her strength and attempt to scare her, according to the Official web site of Yulia Tymoshenko.

"You know that today an attempt was made to arrest me, as the prosecution`s requested. I think they were testing my strength and whether I’ll get scared of the mafia. But Yanukovych is the one that got scared and he called off his instructions to arrest me under pressure from the international community, under pressure from the people of Ukraine. He’s the one that got frightened, not I," Yulia Tymoshenko said after leaving court today.

She stressed that such actions by the government will in no way force her to leave the country. "After today’s petitions by the prosecutor to arrest me I would like to publicly state that I will not leave my country, but will do everything I can so that Yanukovych and his associates leave this country," she added.
