Batkivshchyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko has urged members of parliament that are in the courtroom to help the participants of the act of protest on Khreshchatyk, against whom police are currently using force, according to the Official web site of Yulia Tymoshenko.

“They are forcibly taking down tents, loading people into prison vans, arresting everyone, dragging them along the asphalt. Terrible things are happening. I ask all the deputies to go there,” Yulia Tymoshenko said today in court.

The parliamentarians immediately left the courtroom.

Today the Coalition of Participants of the Orange Revolution tried to set up tents along Khreshchatyk across the street from the Pechersk District Court. Berkut special police officers used force to block them and organizers say eight of its members were arrested.
