The debate about the criminal case against ex Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko concerning signing of the gas agreements with Russia in 2009 started in Pechersk District Court of Kyiv.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, in accordance with a regulation of the procedural law, judicial debate is the last stage in the proceedings of the case before sentencing.
Four representatives of the state prosecution are present at the court hearing: prosecutors Mykhaylo Shorin, Oleksandr Mykytenko, Vasyl Bayrachnyi and Lilia Frolova. Yulia Tymoshenko and her defenders Mykola Siryi, Oleksandr Plakhotnyuk, Yuriy Sukhov, Yevgenia Carr and Oleksandr Tymoshenko are also present at the court hearing.
After judge Rodion Kireyev had entered into the courtroom Yulia Tymoshenko exclaimed: “Glory to Ukraine!”.
