Yulia Tymoshenko’s lawyer Yuriy Sukhov doesn’t rule out that after the two week break in the trial the court will renew the pre-trial investigation in the case against the ex-premier, according to the Official web site of Yulia Tymoshenko.

“We don’t rule out that on September 27 the court will reopen the pre-trial investigation, will grant our motions and will continue to hear this case,” Yuriy Sukhov told journalists today.

The lawyer pointed out that the judge gave two weeks to prepare for debates, despite the fact that throughout the trial he repeatedly accused the defense of delaying the proceedings. “Recently the court has been constantly accusing us of delaying the proceedings and obstructing the truth. Now the ball is on the court’s side – now the court is delaying the proceedings,” he said.

Yuriy Sukhov also informed journalists that the defense has filed a number of key petitions with the court office. “We submitted motions on Friday to reopen the pre-trial investigation, to announce all the case records because there are at least several volumes that the court didn’t announce, and to consider our two motions to change the measure of restraint, which the court did not do,” he said.
