Former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has said that the verdict in her trial won’t stop her from fighting for Ukraine’s development, according to the Official web site of Yulia Tymoshenko.

“I feel a sense of strength, faith and inspiration. And most importantly – to stand for the interests of Ukraine,” Yulia Tymoshenko said during a technical break during the reading of the verdict.

Yulia Tymoshenko said that if she is convicted it will give Ukrainians the strength to oppose the dictatorship. “The authoritarian regime doesn’t have many years left in Ukraine…No political verdicts will stop Ukraine’s development,” she said.

“I’m certain that the verdict that Yanukovych will announce will help the people understand that dictators don’t step down on their. This isn’t just a matter for Batkivshchyna, but for all the people,” she said.

“I feel sorry for Yanukovych. He is discrediting himself, erasing himself from history,” she added.
