Riot police use force against Yulia Tymoshenko’s supporters

Several thousand riot police have pushed from Khreshchatyk participants of the peaceful protest in support of Yulia Tymoshenko, according to the Official web site of Yulia Tymoshenko.

Police blocked traffic along Khreshchatyk from Bessarabsky Square to Bohdan Khmelnytsky Street after Yulia Tymoshenko’s supporters tried to enter the area in front of the arch leading to the Pechersk court.

Afterwards, a large number of riot police created a wall on Khreshchaytyk and pushed back people waving flags of BYuT, Batkivshchyna and other opposition groups to the sidewalk, and continue to push the ex-premier’s supporters back towards Independence Square. The police are using physical force against the people.
