Yulia Tymoshenko’s defense attorneys have submitted their appeal to the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv, which must give the appeal to the Kyiv Court of Appeals within seven days, according to the Official web site of Yulia Tymoshenko.

"According to the Criminal Procedure Code, the Pechersk District Court must give the appeal to all the trial participants for their objections. Then within seven days, the complaint must be given to the Kyiv Court of Appeals, and then the case is assigned for review in no sooner than one month and no later than three months," Serhiy Vlasenko told journalists today outside the Pechersk court.

The attorney also said that Yulia Tymoshenko’s case will be heard by the Kyiv Court of Appeals no earlier than in six weeks. "I don’t know if they’ll rush, but right now, as far as I know, the judges of the Appeals Court are being worked on to hear this case by the so-called simplified procedure, so that there is no questioning of witnesses or review of evidence, so that they hear this case in 5 minutes with their eyes shut," Vlasenko said.

Yulia Tymoshenko and her defense once against stress that she did not commit any crimes. I think this has become apparent not only to the citizens of Ukraine, but to everyone that followed this trial. The European community repeatedly recognized this case as being politically motivated and an attempt to criminalize normal political decisions made by the prime minister of Ukraine," he added.
