“The Ukrainian President does not doubt about the victory of democratic forces at the snap poll and the formation of a democratic coalition in the Verkhovna Rada of the VIth convocation”, the Our Ukraine-People’s Self-Defense leader Yuri Lutsenko said today at a press conference in Rivne, according to the Our Ukraine’s web site. “Neither Yushchenko, nor myself do not have any doubts about pro-Ukrainian majority or pro-Ukrainian parliament”.
Answering the question about his future political ambitions, Mr. Lutsenko noted: “The president had proposed me to head the mega bloc. I agreed. Surely, I have leadership ambitions and ready to work for victory”.
He also noted that Vyacheslav Kyrylenko was likely to head the faction of the Our Ukraine-People’s Self-Defense bloc in the Rada of the next convocation.
