Viktor Baloha, President Victor Yushchenko’s chief of staff, on Thursday said the Ukrainian Breakthrough plan proposed by the bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko was a “clear and intelligible” signal to society about the intentions and priorities of this political force, according to the President`s press-office.
“The announced program is more than just traditional electoral declarations. To my mind, this is another proof that Ukraine’s democratic forces do not speak the language of pseudo-exposing criticism and blatant lies with their people but offer them an effective agenda to improve the country.”
Baloha described the BYuT plan as a “logical continuation of the agreement on cooperation signed last February by Our Ukraine and BYuT.”
“The Tymoshenko bloc’s program is based on the platform of the united opposition which declared its intention to implement alternative projects of the country’s political, social, economic, spiritual and cultural development.”
Baloha said the BYuT program and plans proposed by the Our Ukraine-People’s Self-Defense pro-presidential bloc may be used by their coalition government after early parliamentary elections in September.
“The formation of a coalition between BYuT and Our Ukraine-People’s Self-Defense should be a result of the election campaign.”
