According to estimations of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, due to adverse weather conditions, losses of winter crops may cover the area of 2 mln ha, informed Nikolai Prysiazhnyuk, head of the Ministry on November 16, according to www.agrimarket.info.

According to him, the losses of winter crops are caused by adverse weather conditions, particularly - dry autumn and sharp reduction of air temperature.

As a reminder, as of November 11 Ukraine sowed winter grains throughout the areas of 8.05 mln ha, which totaled 99% of the planned areas. In particular, agrarians sowed wheat throughout 6.5 mln ha (99% of the forecast), rye - 330 thsd ha (99%), barley – 1.22 mln ha (99.6%).
