Yulia Tymoshenko’s defense to insist on public appeal process

Yulia Tymoshenko’s defense team will insist that the appeal process to public, her attorney, Serhiy Vlasenko said, according to the Official web site of Yulia Tymoshenko.

“By law, the process should be open and public. But during the preliminary review of the appeal, planned for December 1, we will definitely enter a motion to allow journalists to record the proceedings,” Vlasenko said.

At 9:30 am on December 1, the Kyiv Court of Appeals will hold a preliminary review of Yulia Tymoshenko’s petition against her conviction by the Pechersk District Court in the so-called “gas case.” The court is scheduled to consider the merits of the case on December 13.
