Yulia Tymoshenko requires surgery

Former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko needs surgery, her lawyers said today in court, according to the Official web site of Yulia Tymoshenko.

“According to the conclusions of well-known experts in Ukraine, in particular Dr. Polishchuk, a neurosurgeon and corresponding member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Yulia Tymoshenko currently requires surgery. It’s no secret that it’s impossible to conduct an operation in the Kyiv prison,” Oleksandr Plakhontyuk said at today’s preliminary hearing in the Kyiv Court of Appeals.

O. Plakhontyuk added that the defense described the circumstances in their motion to change the restrictive measure for the ex-premier.
