The Kyiv Court of Appeals has begun considering the merits of former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko’s appeal of her conviction by the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv in the so-called “gas case”, according to the Official web site of Yulia Tymoshenko.

The court session is taking place in the absence of Yulia Tymoshenko, who informed the prison and court that she is unable to attend due to health problems.

Yulia Tymoshenko’s lawyers Serhiy Vlasenko, Oleksandr Plakhotnyuk, Mykola Siryi, Yuriy Sukhov, and Mykola Tytarenko, as well as her daughter Eugenia, are in attendance.
