The Kyiv Court of Appeal will continue to consider Yulia Tymoshenko’s appeal on December 20 at 10 am, according to the Official web site of Yulia Tymoshenko.

"The judges have decided that a break should be announced to allow Yulia Tymoshenko a third opportunity to participate in the proceedings and to request a certificate on the status of her health from the administration of the detention facility. Consideration of the appeal is moved to 10 am on December 20," the judge announced.

Today the Kyiv Court of Appeal rejected the request by the defense to conduct a full judicial inquiry to establish the truth in the case against Yulia Tymoshenko regarding gas agreements with Russia signed in 2009.

Meanwhile, state prosecutors have insisted that the appeal process continue in Yulia Tymoshenko’s absence.

The ex-premier has not been getting proper medical care in jail since November 5. Despite the fact that she is unable to walk due to severe back pain, at every court hearing strange documents are read that say there is no medical reason for her to not personally attend the appeal proceedings.

"If the appeal continues in her absence, this will be another violation of her rights," said defense lawyer Oleksandr Plakhotnyuk.
