Eugenia Tymoshenko: my father had no option but to seek political asylum

Eugenia Tymoshenko says her father was forced to ask the Czech authorities for political asylum, according to the Official web site of Yulia Tymoshenko.

"My father didn’t want to leave and even now he’s very worried about this, but I think given the situation in which our family found itself, it was a necessary measure," Eugenia Tymoshenko said in an interview today on channel TVi. She said that persecution of her father would make the situation much harder for her family. "If the authorities persecuted him, it would influence my mother more than this situation now that she’s already in the prison colony," she said.
