Eugenia Tymoshenko, daughter of imprisoned ex-Premier Yulia Tymoshenko, still does not know the results of her mother’s medical examination conducted this week by doctors from Canada and Germany, according to the Official web site of Yulia Tymoshenko.
"Neither I nor my mother, our family or her lawyers know what happened behind the prison walls. We weren’t allowed to participate. I waited for the doctors outside the prison but they weren’t allowed to say anything. The prison administration and Yanukovych’s regime were putting pressure on them. We don’t know their diagnosis. It’s probably correct, but I don’t know when I will know it," Eugenia Tymoshenko said in an interview with Polish Radio ZET.
She expects her mother will be the first to know the diagnosis made by the foreign doctors. "I expect they will inform her first and then she can decide what to do with the results and then we will all know. But if the government doesn’t allow it, then no. I want to believe that we will find out what the doctors from Germany and Canada wrote – that their diagnosis isn’t falsified," she said.
"The problem is that my mother has no say when it comes to her health. It’s a gross violation of human rights. Ukrainian doctors, the prison service and prosecutor – that’s who makes decisions regarding her health. I don’t know when she will personally get the foreign doctors’ results and whether she will be able to make a decision regarding releasing this information. Right now it is secret," she added.
